Sequoia Elementary School

Overview:

After failing to meet current seismic safety standards, Landtech was brought in to assist in the modernization of Sequoia Elementary School through structural design for seismic retrofit and construction administration.

Project Details:

Location: Oakland, CA

Timeline: Originally built of partially reinforced concrete and masonry in 1926, the building underwent a substantial seismic retrofit in the 1950’s.

Project Needs: After failing to meet current seismic safety standards, a modernization project was brought forth in order to get the building back to code.

Landtech’s Solution: We worked with the project architect to develop a modernization plan prioritizing seismic retrofit and modern designs, and Landtech also oversaw the entire construction process of the project.
